I've seen several Cadillac 425 engines hang around on Craig's list for months for not much money. Seems like the engine isn't in much demand when 472 and 500s are also around but for 2 to 3 times the money. The 425 could be a cheap swap to bring a dead GMC back to life.

I imagine the same tricks used on the 500 could also be used on the 425 to bring its output up to 400+ ft lbs and 200+ HP. The swap should also be about the same effort as as 500 as the engine externals are similar.

Just a thought...
