Anybody in or near Las Vegas have a governor gear or know where I can get one fast?

I think mine just went out as I came down the grade from Baker on I-15. The speedometer needle went nuts and it won't shift higher than first gear.

I am also going to check the black list,
So you don't have to suggest that.

Adding to the complications, I just called the one Las Vegas number listed on the blacklist and it turned out to be a business with no connection to the people listed.

Well never mind. Engine/transmission caught fire while I was trying to find a safe place to park in Las Vegas for the night. Luckily bystanders supplied a couple 20 , gallon buckets of water to douse it after my fire extinguisher failed to do the trick.

The body is unhurt. I don't know the condition of the power train though.
Everything stinks of burned transmission fluid.

So for the second time in a week I am waiting for a tow truck. I will probably leave the GMC in Vegas to repair or store. I will continue on to Helena in my car.

This coach served as my home for two years when I needed it. I'm not sure whether it makes sense to sink more money into it now.

Money equation. $1600 plus installation. Or, a new-to-you method of accomplishing the same thing.
Good luck.
