G'day,

As you all know Houston is a REALLY humid place, EVERYTHING rusts INSTANTLY. I stumbled upon this product which prevents that:

http://www.zep.com/ZepSearch/default1.aspx?search=Protective+Coatings&num=20&match=Exact&country=U

It can be purchased from:

http://www.shannonhardware.com/default.aspx?page=item+detail&itemcode=ZEP+868101

I believe it is spray cosmoline.

When I disassembled the fire damaged Paterson 455 I got from Canada I sprayed all the parts that could be bagged up with WD-40
before bagging them and sprayed the crankshaft journals, camshaft lobes and bearing surfaces, cylinder walls, and any other surfaces
that would rust.

That was a couple of years ago and so far so good.

Regards,
Rob M.
