Is there a particular reason why after years of mail arriving to my
'in-box' it suddenly starts going to the 'Spam' department.
Certain authors have been designated as trash talkers by an inanimate
system making decisions for me.
If I have not replied or have replied and it sounded that I just arrived
from deep space...sorry about that!

Mike:
Spam filtering is usually done at the client - although some email providers pre-filter or mark Spam before it makes it to your email client (which may decide what to do based on the ISP flags).
So - depending on your situation, you can usually control what happens to Spam once it ends up at your end. You usually have at least two options:
1) Teach the spam filter to allow email as it comes in. This will either whitelist good email addresses and/or learn what Spam looks like - based on your "teaching".
2) Disable Spam filtering altogether. Some email users have no interest in letting an "inanimate system" decide what email arrives or where it is placed. Most users try 1) first!
For most of my email accounts - I have Spam filtering fully disabled.
Spam filtering is more of an "art" than a "science" and it is constantly changing its method of attack...
