G'day,

When Diana was killed in an auto wreck in Paris Queen Elizabeth started her Christmas address to the Commonwealth noting that this
was an "Annus horribilis."

I was chatting with Bill and he noted his has been the same. Nita passed away earlier this year and while he was on a trip to Europe
he got a call from his older daughter to come back to the USA quickly as is younger daughter was very ill. He hurried home and quite
closely after his return she passed away.

He then noted that he has been diagnosed with prostrate cancer, is receiving treatment; and the prognosis is good.

I did note that things seem to happen in three's and hopefully this is all the bad news he will have to deal with for the
foreseeable future!

Regards,
Rob M.

G'day,

I have been advised by a fellow GMCer that for those that will be in the area there will be a gathering of friends and family on Sunday October 26th at 12:00 PM at the Joseph V. Leahy Funeral Home, 27 Smith Ave, Kingston, NY. The service will follow at 1:00 PM.

Here's a link to the Funeral Home should you wish to sign the Guest Book:

So very sad to learn of Bill's travails. Though we've never met, I am well aware of his huge contributions regarding the history of our GMCs, as well as outright aid and support of other GMCers.

There are so few words to ease the pain of your losses Bill, but know that so many are thinking of you. We hope that good prognosis just gets better and better as you carry on.

I know its an exaggeration to say that we are all interconnected by a web of airbag line, but in a sense we really are all connected into a cohesive (sometimes) commiserating (more often) whole and when one part is hurting, the other parts (even if we haven't met) cannot be isolated - we hurt on some level too. Bill - a prayer for relief of pain inside and out.
