I see that Fiamma awnings are now available in the US. I like their low profile and the armless design. I have seen them mounted on the Mercedes / Sprinter / airstream RVs and their quality appears to be good. It also seems to me that some were imported a few years ago and mounted on some GMCs. Does anyone here have experience with them? What is the appropriate mounting adapter?

I think Fiamma has been available for a while here - but perhaps branded as Dometic and A&E Horizon (line mine). As soon as you open it - Fiamma is written everywhere inside.
I don't know how old it is - but I suspect 10ish years? I never was able to get a date code from it or Fiamma. It's a F45L (5.0 m).
In my case - it's been a PITA. I think it has too many moving parts!
Mine is currently not working (again) and it likely needs a winch or clutch pack for the roller. When trying to wind it back in - it clicks and skips, like the winch is stripped/stripping. The "shock absorbers" (two) also look like they are cracked and require replacement. I've been debating whether to just replace it with a Zip Dee ($2000+).
I'll likely repair it one more time over the winter...
If you are interested - I can try to take some pics at some point of how it's mounted.
