We had our membership meeting yesterday followed by a luncheon and the last of the coach weighings.

New officers are Dave Blackshear of Davidsonville, MD, who succeeded me as President. I will stay on the Board as Immediate Past President.
Larry McLaughlin of Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada, who took over from George DelVecchio as Vice President North East Region
and Marilyn Peltzer of Boulder CO who took over from Stan Edwards as Vice President Rocky Mountain region.
The rest of the officers kept their positions until their term limits expire.

Last night and today we packed up all of our equipment in the 20 crates and we are now done.
Several of us will get together tonight for dinner and then we will all go back home -- some are heading for the GMC Great Lakers rally.

We had people from 21 states and three countries here.

Good time had by all.

Thanks for all you have done and will continue to do Emery. I am sure the newly elected officers will do fine and know that those leaving office will assist them. Teri and I hated missing. We had offers from friends to get us there and back. Had offers of help with a trailer to sleep in. We had offers to drive our gmc up for us. The problem was, I am in the hospital and have been since last Friday. This was a planned visit set up by the team working with me. Could not do anything about it.we knew from seven weeks back that our chances were slim. But, hoping to get to Louisiana in the spring. We do use our coach for other trips between conventions and hope to continue those short trips.
Thanks again Emery for all you have done and especially to those who served ice cream for us. Very Happy
Dan

Emery, you are a class act and I thank you for your dedication and service.

Dan, you and Teri were sorely missed. Probably most by Lucy Widner who was running around like her hair was on fire trying to do coordinate all the food service.

I stand in amazement at how well organized and committed the GMCMI team is. You guys have this down!

This was another great convention. I'll post a trip report when we get home and I get settled.

As a "first timer" at the GMCMI, I had a great convention and met a wonderful team of individuals willing to share their GMC knowledge, experience and mechanical skills with those of us less skilled in the art of the GMC motorhome. My wife and I were fortunate to have Emery and his wife Michelle join us at one of the "greenie tables" for dinner. Having been aware of his contributions and shared knowledge on this website it was our privilege to meet them and have an enlightening dinner conversation. Thanks for your leadership of this diverse group of GMC motorhome owners and we look forward to your continued wisdom and contributions to GMCMI.
