I'm reluctant to bring this to the group's attention because I do not have time to even look into this, much less do anything about it. but my son located a GMC that is about to be scrapped our at a local recycling facility here in Tucson:
http://www.scrapmetalsrecycling.net/index.php (Looks like a Roll Along, maybe)
He sent me pics which I seem to be having trouble loading to the photo site, but will try again later. He said all the glass is good, including nice clear windshields, and all running gear is there and complete. The bumpers even look good. The interior has been gutted and the body sides have been trashed due to someone doing a very amateurish job of filling in/relocating windows. It seems like a shame to loose this one, but like I said, I just don't have time to deal with it.
The contact info is above for anyone interested. I may have a chance to check it out in person early in the week, but I'm leaving on a trip to Italy Friday to visit my daughter, son in law, and two year old grandson, so no time to do anything else.

I just sent the TZE to John. The coach in question is, in fact, a '75 Rollalong. The entire inside has been gutted including the steering column. The drivetrain appears to be complete there is at least one gas tank. I didn't crawl around on the ground to look at the frame, but my guess is that it spent a lot of it's life in someone's yard here in the Tucson area, so probably minimal rust. Unless someone else takes it on, I am going to see if it is possible for me to buy it from the scrapyard owner and at least save the essential and unique parts.

Looks like there's no hope for this one. I went and talked to the owner of the scrap yard and he said he can't sell it or anything off of it because of licensing issues. He is not licensed to sell vehicles or parts off of them, only to salvage scrap. He understood where I was coming from, but said he just couldn't do it. What a shame the original owner didn't research it a little more before deciding to sell it to a scrap yard. Word is the scrap yard paid $100.00 for it.
I sent the TZE to John Shotwell and he said it is a new find. He has no record of it. Too bad it will now be lost forever.

Scrap Yard made out good. More than 700 pounds of aluminum for $100. What a deal.

Could the whole thing be bought as scrap from the yard?
Take the relevant parts of and re-scrap it.

Maybe you can trade him something. That way he isn't making a sale?
Hal Kading 78 Buskirk Las Cruces NM
That I think would be the best way to go about it, trade him a plain white envelope.
May have a check in it, maybe cash, who knows.

That was my intent but, like I said at the beginning of the thread, I just don't have the time to mess with it right now. He seemed pretty firm in his inability to sell it.
