Well, I got toad problems. No fire. Which would be out of place here, except it's fitted with a Summit Racing distributor which is a clone of the GMC HEI setup, down to the parts. 12 volts on the BAT contact. Ground is ground at the battery. Module swap made no difference. Advance didn't have a coil tester, but did have a new GMC coil and a meter, mine and the new one measure the same - low resistance on the primary, 7-9Kohms across the secondary. Pickup coil shows continuity. Wires in the plug to the coil from the module show continuity. Ideas? I'll see if AutoZone or O'Riellys have a coil tester, both are close by. All have module testers, I'll test it even though a new GM replacement made no difference.
