Espen, I sent you some pictures on FB Messenger of the rear seating area in my '74. Hopefully that is what you needed. I didn't have any pictures of the seats folded down into the bed (the seat backs have jackknife hinges to fold down and flip over). I have the seat backs and hinges out of the GMC right now but I could take some pictures of them if it would help.

Loffen wrote on Wed, 24 September 2014 13:12Thanks,that was what I thought, the goucho/duoble bed set up was just not practical with the water tank in the rear, it will be better with the water tank on the passenger side and storage space in the middle.
Sounds like the mods my PO installed...
To the left, you can see the new water tank, as well as some storage above the LP tank compartment...

This is the center part under the bed, with the long (!) slide-out storage and a window latch to keep it in place duringsudden stops.

And finally, the area to the right, showing the rest of the (shallow) storage area above the generator compartment. You can also see the relocated electrical equipment and the new inverter I installed behind the slide-out.

These mods, IMHO, are the best possible use of space. Not only do I pick up a significant amount of storage, as well as a convenient place for electrical equipment, but there's also room for a 52" x 84" mattress on that folding platform (though the PO had to have one custom-made with notches for the taillight buckets). Couldn't be happier with this arrangement.

That looks like a really good solution and is vert close to what I want, not a bad idea to rise the bed a little bit
