Well, we pulled out of Americus a little before 9 AM EST this morning.
After a leisurely (speed limit all the way) drive we arrived at the
Pinkertons' at about 4 PM EST after 300 miles. No problems at all. But
those darned EGT's are STILL HIGH! Cruising at 55 mph on a level road, the
left bank shows about 1500*F and the right about 1425*F -- both FAR too
high, IMHO. I'm certain they can't be correct, else those 300 miles would
probably have drained the exhaust valves out the tail pipe.

I haven't yet talked to the EGT gauge manufacturer about the situation,
since I don't have any way to certify what the temperatures should be. I
know the digital meter can easily be calibrated, but it supposedly is
already calibrated for the type K thermocouples they provided.

At any rate, we're all leaving here about 9 AM CST headed north for another
300 miles or so. We'll be in Chippewa Falls about Wednesday. Y'All leave a
light on for us.

Ken H.
