Well Folks, I'm no longer a GMC Motorhome Owner. The Road Machine is sold. I purchased my GMC in 2003, with the plan to rebuild it from the ground up, with upgrades and out of the box ideas to take it well into the 21st century.

Work, Family, and other issues prevented me spending the time I really needed, so a reduced level of finish was performed, and we got the coach on the road. Had to use it, right? Got a few good years out of it then spun a main bearing, as many of you know.

Even though I could have probably gotten 2X the money parting it out with a weekend's work, I took a lower price and sold it to a nice couple in Georgia who are transporting it home via flatbed transporter. I gave them the Black List, and highlighted Ken Henderson's entry (Sorry Ken) as they will need some help getting the engine out. Ken, you list an engine dolly in your entry. He's gonna need it. I figure he is in good hands with the folks down that way.

He's an Airline mechanic, so he knows his way around stuff and has a built and tested Cad 500 to put in it that came out of a truck he had. Should be a good runner when he is done. Perhaps if anyone has a few good links on those projects, post them so I can pass them along.

I hope he reaches out to the group here, as he isn't currently a forum or mail list user.

The parting is bittersweet. I had good times in the coach, and long term plans, but it was not to be. Perhaps in my retirement years, I can get a 23' with a hover conversion and start over.

I have some items left over that are now available due to the negotiations.

The Bounds rebuilt correct carb is available, but may be spoken for from my last post about parting the coach.

The Rockwell intake is also available. Used, of course, but these things don't go bad, I presume. It's not shiny and pretty, but one that is won't stay that way.

I may sell the 3-way Norcold fridge, or the 2-way 110/gas Dometic from my trailer. Not sure yet. That may also be spoken for.

Those two of you who have given interest for those two items will be given first consideration, but I am not gonna rule out better offers. If the offers are too low, I may go ebay, as I have to recoup as much as I can on this.

Also available is ONE spare tire/wheel. Original 16.5. plan on 75lbs shipping on that bad boy.

Cheers!

Chris,

Send me the buyer's contact info off-line and I'll contact them. They may
miss me because we're heading out to GMCMI soon. Wouldn't want them to
wander the wilderness alone. :-)
