Yes ! we made it to France
After we had installed the new converter Olga is doing right. Some minor things like the new compressor going dead can't stop us now
I am trying to upload som pictures to the picture site for you to see, but the wifi is not to good
We visited Nancy to see more of the "School of Nacy" masters of "nouveau art" that dominate that town.
Then my wife wanted to visit som town in the Voges, a very mountanious area. as the road got smaller and steeper she did not feel well about that. Than there was roadwork and a diavation. that was real steep and winding with inches to the drop, ll we and Olga's froze ! the tanks were full, but in hinsight I should have changed to the reartank anyway
Well, we turned back and felt better about that
We went on to Burgondy to cycle along the canal de nivernais that I have been sailing on as a young man. It happens that Jean-Luc, a GMC owner that is on the forum at times is bourn there and has a sommerhome there.
He was so kind to let me use his adress to have a new compressor sent, as well as inviting us for lunch and even to stay at his Paris appartment ! Thank you Jean-luc
We also had a look at his 78 eleganza that was built for a famous French stuntman ( sorry dont remember his name) very nice with real wood furniture and burgundy leather seats, but still a long way to go.
So here were are heading for the Dordogne and Spain
1 small problem: I think there is a small airleak underneath the (new) carberater The infamous mechanic did tighten it down very hard
Synptoms: instabel low )(13-17HG at idle 800 rpm
carb adjusting screw do little
running a bit hot
HG at over 20 at 1000 rpm
picking up revs as i cover the carb
ANy advice as to wether I should do something about this are welcome
