I just noticed on page 35 of the September 2014 issue of FMCA magazine an ad for a new sound and heat deadening kit from Silent Running. They make what we found to be very effective spray/roll on coatings that really quiet down the inside of a GMC. This kit, priced at $115, includes a gallon of the sound deadening product, a gallon of the thermal insulator product (to be sprayed on over the sound deadener) and, from the picture apparently also includes a spray applicator. That is plenty to do the whole underside of the cockpit area and hatch cover, and likely the underside of the stairs (as much as you can reach anyway, and some of the area under and around the mufflers. Web site is listed as www.sr-car.com.
