My striped has been painted with enamel paint with a brush over the vinyl. It resisted the eraser wheel because the paint smeared so bad.

I purchased this

http:// www.ebay.com/itm/Dynabrade-92295-RED-TRED-Eraser-Disc-Complete-Assembly-Max-3500rpm-/230737628393?hash=item35b908cce9&item=230737628393&pt=Mot ors_Automotive_Tools&vxp=mtr

and some replacement pads

It fits a standard 5/8 arbor but is only rated for 2-3000 RPM. So I got a variable speed polisher from Horrible Freight.

Works a treat!

This much took about an hour. It would have been much less without having to deal with the paint on top of the stripe. My coach had been 'KEYED' sometime in the past and there was bondo under the paint. Not optimal.

Looks similar to the wheel that I used. Took about five hours to get all the old vinyl off. I'm going to try to replace these stripes with Plasti-Dip to see how it holds up, then consider it for more parts if it works well. I like the idea of being able to do it slowly in my driveway.
