I currently have two worn out and dead Trojan T105 coach batteries that came with the coach. I am inclined to replace them with the same thing but will entertain ideas about substitutes. I know a lot of this can come down to personal preference and do not want to start a flame war with "my battery is better than yours" comments. Really, no one here would do that would they? Smile

Anyway, just looking for ideas and thoughts about the best place to order them from.

Thanks
Wayne

I am using Lifeline AGM 6 volt batteries in my TT, 5 year guaranteed, 10 years expected. 220ah each, the cost is around $250-300 apiece if you shop around. They are going on 6 years old and are still awesome!!

In my coach I am using Wal-Mart batteries because they were cheap, I was broke at the time, and the coach is always plugged in when we are home so they stay topped off. I also bought a 10 pack of LED bulbs for $30 on eBay (lights are the next biggest power robber, the first is the furnace).

I just replaced 2 T-105's, and both my engine start as well as my boost
battery monday. $484.00 package deal from battery exchange. The T-105 6
volts are physically taller, shorter, and wider than the 12 volt Trojans
that I replaced. So, I have to modify the battery area in the generator
compartment. Mostly done today. They were all purchased in Dec. 07. 7 year
life on batteries that were charged by the Old BUZZ BOX. I upgraded the
buzz box with a Progressive Dynamics 60 amp unit this summer. Hope the 6
volts last as long as the 12 volts did. If they do, I will be a happy
camper. I also have been replacing my 12 volt lamps with led's. We will see
how much difference they make on charge depletion rate.

Thanks all, I never considered AGM's so will now look at that option. Sadly, we hardly use the coach due to medical reasons so I am not sure that I want to invest that much in batteries. But, then again, I do prefer to do things right the first time and not pay twice for the same thing.

All batteries fail. I prefer newer and cheaper than older and more expensive. Newer is better reliability insurance.
