Jared,
You already have partially installed what I would consider a better
"jumper": The relay to the left of the boost relay, to which you have
the left alligator clip attached, is an alternate action relay: When
you apply voltage (+ to -) across the coil (small) terminals, the
relay closes. When you reverse the voltage (- to +) the relay opens.
If you moved the chassis battery cable back to the boost relay, where
it came from, and connected the just-vacated terminal to the other
side of the boost relay, you'd have a switched jumper. It would be
controlled by the switch which now connects/disconnects the house
battery.
Or you could, of course, replace the boost relay with one rated for
continuous duty (the one there MAY be so rated), and remove the spring
from your momentary boost switch -- as early coaches and transmodes
were delivered.
There are, of course, a couple of good reasons for having a battery
disconnect switch, like it's wired now, especially in an emergency.
Fact is, I have one just like yours for each of my battery banks, in
addition to the boost relay -- Ken B's near loss of his coach prompted
me to finally do that mod a few years ago.

I installed a 100 A resettable circuit breaker across the boost solenoid. Charge chassis battery when parked or supply 12 v to chassis from gen set in the event of an alternator failure. Good redundancy.
