My turn signals have quit working. I used the GMC in a parade and the hazard flashers were on for 6 hours or so and then died. I guess the flasher relay is toast.

Am I correct? Where is it located? Part number?

My 76 used the same flasher for the hazard lights as the directional lights. I separated them and used a separate flasher circuit for each system when I noticed the directionals worked with the key off. Mine are located under the removable dash top. The same flasher that is used on GM cars of the era will be the correct part.

Neil,
The flasher, turn and 4way is located up under the dash on the steering column, it is a 2 terminal flasher. If you going to go with LED type bulbs in the future I would suggest an electromechanical type flasher. Part number is an LF12 or EL12 See the following:

You can go to any parts store and ask for a turn signal flasher for 1975 Oldsmobile Toronado, works for me and will work for you. Part numbers may vary depending on where you shop at.

I just got back from storage and was able to get it repaired. It appears
to have a single flasher when replaced both hazards and turn signals
worked. The turn signal are hot with the ignition off. I saw someone had
separated them. Any way I¹m back in business for $6.
Thanks,
Neil
