First off I did not call the part junk, someone else chimed in and said that. Biggest problem with this chat room. Second, I called Jim and asked him to look at the coach. The price was 7K not 3k. Get your facts right. He sent two of his guys over to look at the coach and they said the coach was in decent shape for the price. I bought the thing on this report. I get there and the frame is rusted, the black tank is busted wide open, obvious stuff and more. They took enough time to waste my $90. My plan was to stay with the seller, another GMC firm and go over the coach for a day. Well the mans mother had passed away and he couldn't spend the time. In desperation I called the COOP. Jim was a champ and let me stay the night and first thing got the coach up on the lift and went at it. We had some words about his guys tour of the coach but that is what I get for depending on someone who thinks any coach is worth the price as long as he thinks I'll spend another $50k with him to fix it up. Guess what hot shot I can do circles around you and your people with a set of tools. Jims mechanic installed that filter and proceeded to add fluid until the trans went into gear, creating an overflow situation when parked. Oh and by the way I did call the COOP to talk to you or your mechanic, but you were busy and I left a message with your office lady. Not my fault your people can't give you messages. You owe me refund Jim and thank goodness not a transmission.

Do you reallt expect me to drop into that end of the gene pook. I am shaking as I type this, sorry for the typos. This is why I bever buy or sell coaches, you are a fool to take abtones word to but somethibg! Your expectations are way too big. You should not do that. Kepp it uo, you may be surprised how mych you do not know and I don't really care. Keep your cheap Chinese crap, ARP made no mabufacturing errors, it was insralled properly and if you wan t to further deag the good name of my business, there are remedies.
I'm not going to dignify you accusations, if you can prove something we did wrong bring it on. You own your American made filter kit and your cheap Chinese junk. Tell ya what, send me the filter, I will forward it to ATP. If there is something wrong I will double the cost to you. If there is nothing weong with it you owe me an apology and $1000. Effecting the good name of a legitimate business is worth far more than that.
One big problem with this forum, people tend to believe things no matter who says it. You have way more problems that whatever you think an ATP filter did. The fact is it didn't so guys believe me wheb I say that.
Unless you don't know any better, you should drop this thread and everyone reading this thread need to not blindly follow things you read here. This thread is a perfect example. We al "lol" when we say "take it all with a grain of salt" but its so true.
An American ATP filter kit is a quality part no matter how you look at it. I don't take liability for anything on you machine, all I did was put a filter kit into it and brother that ain't rocket science. What do you think 30 something year old parts do.... they break! Yours has a pile of original parts. I know you would not bring any work to me, you would rather rig it then do it again. Just leave me out of your rant, I have others that understand the real picture.

with out getting too pedantic when using a set of verniers to measure a round object. should the flat sides of the legs of the gauge be placed across the diameter.
from the photo shown this does not apear to be the case could this be where the .018 discrepency lies

The key word is MECHANIC. Any part is only as good as the " mechanic" that

Ralph,
I think you have done enough to try and impact my business. You have gone
on media sites saying some really nasty things about my mechanic and my
business. Guys on this list, let me show you some of the things I have to
deal with. Ralph, you have disparaged my business to the point it can now
proceed in a legal manner.
Let me tell all of you what is going on, maybe you will understand that
throwing rocks should never be done in a glass house and why my blood
pressure is the way it is.
Ralph does not own a GMC Motorhome, Ralph has a business not more than 2
blocks from my shop. So you might ask, Why is he posting here and what has
he got against me?
OK, I'll tell you and remember Ralph-- I can say it if it's true, if it's
not it's a crime...
My mechanic Hank is the older brother of my painter who has been with me
for over 14 years. He is family and our business survives from people
helping people. Hank, the mechanic, used to run a shop that now this guy
Ralph runs. If I posted you pics of the place you would understand but I
won't unless forced. Anyway, Hank is now with us in the fold and he has
fit in beautifully-- as many mechanics they no longer get along so Ralph
has taken it upon himself to try and throw water on all of our efforts. He
has done some things trying to effect my business that I will tell you
after I get permission from my council.
I am surprised you have now purged yourself far beyond anything I could
hope for to show your intent. You may think it's cute whatyou are doing
and in years past southern gentlemen would know how to handle things but
it's 2014, we don't do that, we take legal recourse and that's what is
going to happen.
I don't know why I attract folks like this, maybe it's because I really try
and help people-- some see that a sign of weakness and try and take
advantage. Well bunky, the gloves are off.
OK the moderator of this forum and everyone reading these things should
lock this person out from our mail list, what he is doing is not in line
with the focus of our group. If you want to continue to help a man bury
himself further leave him on this list and see what happens. This forum is
not here to damage people or businesses for that matter. It's all about
communication and support.
You really surprised me Ralph, though you were smarter than this. Guys,
here's a good target for your misplaced aggression-- welcome "Ralph" into
our group!

My Local Parts Plus affiliated parts house (Merle's) always gets me ATP transmission filters. I have never had a problem with them, and would be reluctant to use anything else.

Isn't this the same "nut job" that said he had Eldo coil springs installed on the front of his Birchaven about 6 or 8 weeks ago? When asked for pictures he could not provide them.

Who did you purchase the extinguishers from? Jim Bounds wasn't there. Ada
and I was at Bean Station that year (2013). ....I don't recall talking to you
about any and if I recall, I don't think we even sold any that rally. What model did
you buy? .....and why wait a year and a half to ask on a public forum? Fire Fight does
have a website and an e-mail address for things like that.

I did buy them from you and you told me how to mount them. When I finally
got to thinking about mounting them, I had forgot some of what you had
said. So I emailed Jim Bounds twice; no answer. Jim B finds plenty of
time to post on the net, so why does he not answer those emails sent
directly to him; especially from a customer asking questions about his
products?? I only mentioned the fire extinquisher emails because he never
answered them; I ended up asking JimK.

FYI, I have found that it is always better to get Jim Bounds on the phone. He doesn't always see emails, but from my experience, he is always willing to help over the phone.
