Hi Rob,

I have and really like two manual MaxxFans in the Clasco. The best feature is the ability to leave the vent open all the time and turn on the fan whenever you want. I just purchased another to replace the up-zoot Fantastic fan with the rain sensor as that thing will drive you nuts if it is open and rain comes in the middle of the night. The MaxxFan remote was on sale for the same price as the manual units so I took the remote job.

It has one very undesirable "feature" that I don't like at all. You cannot keep the vent open with the fan off. When you turn off the fan the vent closes automatically. You have to manually override the vent lid motor each time. Ugh! The tech with whom I spoke at MaxxFan said they are hearing from a lot of owners who want to leave the lid open, but this auto close is baked into the board and cannot be retrofitted with something that would allow the lid to stay open. Wish I had another manual unit as those work like a charm in our GMCs.

Jim,

I bought two of those covers too and had them sent to Australia for The Blue Streak. When I got an email from AdventureRV that had
the top of the line remote control Maxx Fans on sale for cheap I bought two of them for The Blue Streak and two for Double trouble.
I sold one of the Fantastic Fans and will install the other in the bathroom.

Regards,
Rob M.
