Now it is my turn to hijack the thread that Kelvin already hijacked....(grin)

I, too, have a perfectly functional original AC sitting on the rafters of my GMC garage from when I replaced mine with a Carrier. The original unit was too heavy to take off the roof safely but I was able to work it up and onto the rafters where it sits to this day. Free to anyone who wants to take it down so a trip to central and southern Oregon will net you two good roof airs.

To hijack the thread, I just happen to have a perfectly functional
original AC sitting here. Free to anyone who comes and get it from
Eugene, OR.

Worked fine, it was just loud and heavy. Both of which are traits it
probably had when new. I replaced it with a new Dometic, taking 70# off
the roof at the same time.
