Good Sam seems to have announced agreed value insurance that would cover our GMC's.
Does anyone have experience with this?
I tried to do an online quote on their site and that didn't work.
I currently have agreed value for $29k with Progressive.

Ernie,
There is a thread on this very subject about two weeks old. Armand brought it up. Check the search and it will be there.

I contacted them, but was told they do not issue these policies in Illinois (I imagine that insurance is controlled at the state by state level). I'm currently am checking with Grundy as they now do a broader coverage than just collector vehicles.

I'll let you know what they reply when I hear back from them.

Bummer. Maybe someone will come along and point you to it. I can't do that right now or I would.
Good luck. I still use progressive for my agreed value but might consider someone else.

I had the same error message, so I called talked to a Susan Evans in St. Louis. I got a quote of $465 for 1 yr with agreed value of $35k, I need to get an appraisal w/in 30 days & send in 2 inside pics, and 2 outside pics. Jimk did mine at a rally, and I'll just have him update. The insurance is through Allied. It's almost half of my Progressive policy.

Ernie, is that price with good Sam? My Progressive has gone up 300.00 in 8 years. Might be time for me to look around.

I told her to expect some calls. Smile

I signed up with Good Sam Insurance about a month ago. I called them via the number on their web site and ended up talking with an agent named Andrew at 216-592-7107. When he answered the phone I told him what vehicle I had and what the value was. He immediately said he could get me an agreed value policy but he would need to hunt around a little to get a rate - I think they have a few companies they sell for. He got back to me the next day with an annual rate of $400 for $49K agreed value.

I told him I'd be sending more people his way so tell him I sent you (nothing in it for me).
