A buddy of mine has been on a trip and just called to say he had a bit of an accident, bent a rim and the right rear control arm. I have one that I can send him but I'd have to pull it from the coach after work today, so in the interest of time I thought I'd see if anyone had one off and ready to go. Last I heard he was in Colorado.
That's all the information I have right now. I know the arms are easy to straighten but I got the impression that wasn't an option. Please PM me or reply here. Thanks - Dave

As I recall he has a newer coach, but I will find out next time I talk to him.

Update: He's now at an Perry's RV Park in Red Lodge MT. He's having a hard time finding anyone willing to try to straighten the bogie arm. Anyone nearby that can help? Address is:
6664 US Hwy. 212, Red Lodge MT, 50968.

I've no idea if this is a valid idea but: Would replacing the entire bogie assembly be easier than just replacing one arm?

Both are a big job, especially if done on the road. I would be straightening the original one if possible with a porta power or other device if possible. We have not seen the damage. It is a 1/2 hour job. At one GMCMI rally someone showed up with a screw device and we were straitening bogies for people. None took more than 1/2 hour.
The toe in (and out) is the important thing. Caster does not exist on a rear wheel. Camber should be zero but being off a little bit will not hurt anything and could be corrected if necessary several thousand miles later.

This looks like another breakdown between the Phorum and GMCNet -- I've
seen nothing of any previous exchange. Having had a badly bent suspension
arm on the road, it piques my interest.

I remember it as Rapid City, but I could be wrong.
Something like that tool would be ideal for use on the road.
The big problem we have here is we have no idea what damage he really has on this coach.

Thanks, Ken.
Gosh what a PITA to read all those on that system: Open each in the list,
then scroll back up to the text area, read a couple of lines, then back
down to, hopefully, the next item in the list, then scroll back up, etc.,
etc.
In GMail, they all line up nice and neatly, in order, displaying only the
text (with hidden quotes if any). Just like reading scrolls (In deference
to those who think we emailers are antiquarians, I started to say 'Dead Sea
Scrolls"). :-)
