I'm 5'11 and feel like I am too close to the column and too low. My seats are Dygert Captains chairs. My plan is to use 2x2 square steel tubing between the OEM seat swivel and the seat slider tracks to move my seat up and back.

I'm 6' 7. My 78 Royale did not have the cool GMC seats like yours. My only interior upgrade has been to toss out the worn and sun damaged Coachman seats and replace them with Oldsmobile Mini-van second row seats. Probably not quite as nice as the Honda seats but do have arm rests on both sides, fully adjustable, were in absolutely perfect condition, and only $20 each at the local U-pull-it mans mall. Now I have Olds engine and Olds seats.
I used 1 inch square steel tubing to adapt to the existing swivel plate, and mounted them about 2.5 to 3.0 inches further back than the stock mounting position. Perfect fit. More leg room. The only thing I have to do is slide the seat up a little before it can swivel around to face to the rear. I am really happy with the upgrade and only put just a small dent in the wallet. I'll post pictures to the photo site when I can.
My coach has the twin Davo bunks bunks in just ahead of the rear bath. Perfect for a tall person as my feet can just hang over a little into the doorway on the passenger side. I may "engineer" an extension for the bed that can fold away when not in use.

Right on sounds like some good ideas was hoping there were some longer seat tracks perhaps that would add a little more. I see there is a dimple in the track that stops it from going back further and also the mounting bolt head. Just love the OG seats and dont want to go with anything else but for long road trips i can already tell my bad knees are gonna be creek'n

Tony , there should be enough room to relocate the seat tracks on the mounting plate, I was able to relocate mine by 2" . Another suggestion is tilt the seat back by putting 1/2 spaces under the front seat mounts.
Hope this helps.
