From Lenze:
Olga now in Belgium
As you know I was still not happy with the redone transmission. And it is still a mess
Firsth I lost the adjustment. I thought it was the nut slipping, but now I am not sure. I adjustet as per manual and as per manny
There is no positiv stop between D and N nor between R and N
Driving on the motorway with a quite steep rise: going 2100 rpm 60 M/h. Keeping the rpm Olga slowz down to 30 and then slips. Heavy trucks passing us by
2. And 1. Seems fine. Engine strong
Except that the new compressor does not make any pressure anymore
Ready to throw the towel

My thoughts on that would be if you are sure its the air compressor and not a leak get another air compressor and run with the air bag valves turned off or replacement schraders installed till you replace the pump. As far as the tyranny is concerned have Manny ship another one or get an OK from Manny to have that one torn down and fixed if there any competent trans shops that know the 425 out there.

Thanks to peer for relaing my message. Just found out I can login from my Iphone. So I am on again
The observant reader will remember that I just had the tranny and convertor redone after losing oil
It must be possible to make a transmission run right !
But we are pretty worn by now
It has been 3 months wirt engine and tranny

Is it possible that the transmission is not slipping at all? Many people confuse the sound of the fan roaring (when the fan clutch engages) as the engine speeding up. Do you have a tach to make sure that the vehicle is slowing but the engine RPM is up? If your transmission is slipping that badly, it would barely make one hill.

Thanks Espen. That sounds like it
Yes the slipping worrys me too
As I wrote earlier I did not like it from when she was done. Slipping on the flat road in the netherlands. But the mechanic said it was like it should be. What do I know ?
I will drive the 300 miles back to the shop and have them have a other look at it
And yes I have a large tacho. And I have rhe valves on rhe airbags so I can drive
Lord give me patience

I am not a transmission person. I rely on Manny or Dick Paterson for that. I can pull and replace them but not fix them. When my trans went out, it exhibited your symptoms but I could shift down using the shift lever on the column to "S" or second gear and it would pull OK. Third gear finally quit pulling all together and I had to drive it home in "S" or second gear. One other symptom that happened when 3rd was slipping, was "Reverse" was also slipping. When 3rd went out completely so did reverse. Manny told me it was a specific clutch. I do not know which clutch it was.
I'm asking you if you have reverse slipping also?
I'm also still asking if you are positive that you are really in 3rd gear. When it fails (slipping), what happens if you pull the gear shift lever down into "S"? Does it shift down to second? If it does not down shift, then you are already in Second gear and that is your problem.

ESpen. You would be welcom
I will try to be more speciffic
In driving on flat road I encouter (converter)slippage in all gears wich I understand as normal to a certain extend
Now in begium on the motorway going uphill 60miles 2100 rpm ( max torque) 3th she looses speed cant rise the rpm . down to 30 miles then slips completly ( trans or convertor?) giving less gass she picks up again, slowing down. Shift to seccond she picks up and climbs the hill 30-40 miles
Also she was not holding in P and crawling in N

Now back at campste neat workshop
Got the adjustment right, doing opposite manny recommandation. The manual says adjust at N Manny said at P Only way I could make it work is at 1 th
So thats good
Everything else stinks Slipping got worse and worse, can onlu accalerat by putting my foot down, revs going up 800-1000 with Olga slowly lugging behind Sure cant use much of the 700 Nm Dick Paterson gave me
Now she also starts shaking when I push her.
Wonder what they'll say at the workshop tomrrow

Been to the workshop
They regonized the problem and are very nice about it The verdict at the moment is the ( no idear what its called) one way clutch in the converter stator It is still the original converter that was cleanded.
Wenedsday she goes in the workshop and hopefully we will be driving again Thursday evening
ofcourse everything on warranty and a free rentalcar
