Greetings Gentlemen:
I'm going to calibrate my engine oil dipstick as I've heard of the importance of that. I can't remember how much oil to use, but I thought I heard was 5 qts. I thought that was low, but I think that's what I was told. The operating manual says 6 qts w/filter. Also, mine has oil cooler - unknown capacity - does the oil cooler change that capacity significantly? I want to determine this once and for all so I know how much oil is in there, having just made the assumption in the past that the "add" and "full" marks were accurate.

I'm not in need of too much info here. Just the starting amount of oil to use. The procedure's pretty straight forward. I just don't remember and don't know where to find it. It's probably in some thread somewhere on here. Thanks in advance!
