I have been fighting a lean issue when driving that all I can narrow it down to at this point is a cracked or warped intake manifold. I recently pulled/replaced my 403 due to warped heads from overheating so it is not a big stretch to have the manifold warped as well.
If I'm going to pull the stock manifold out, I will be replacing it with an aluminum one.
Hence the question: What will fit without creating a engine cover doghouse for clearance?
I have scoured the net for an answer but found much conflicting information so I thought I'd waste some electrons and post the question here. The two manifolds I have been looking at are the Edelbrock Performer #2711 and the Rockwell. Anyone have an opinion they wish to share on either of these products?
The second question is I had stumbled across an online calculator that had been posted that would tell you how much engine cover clearance would need to be created as long as you had the "A" and "B" measurements from the manifold but I cannot find it again. Anyone happen to know where to find that?
Thanks in advance for your time
