New windows...and a couple questions [message #257596]

New windows from MotorHome Enhancements (Gene Dotson) have arrived. Really impressive units and about half the weight of the old windows. The only issue is that the poorly trained monkey that screwed the inner piece to the main extrusion should not have been given a screwdriver. Not only were there multiple holes drilled in the extrusion but the inner piece was poorly aligned. Nothing a drill wouldn't fix but irritating none the less.

The old windows came right out which probably explains why they leaked. My friend Beau came over to help. Took about 2 hours to do the door and big window.

Taking the interior out was a lot harder than changing the window. Which leads to question #1.

1- How did you finish out the window trim for those who have new windows.

On a slightly different subject, my cockpit side windows leak badly.

2- How do they come out and what is the best way to stop them from leaking. I'm going to get new parts from Applied but am thinking the gasket around the window is about as bad as the other windows were.

Btw, if you are using Capt Tolleys Creeping Crack Filler will leave a 'track' on your paint so don't put on so much that it runs off the window. Shocked
