I was told by an RV dealer not to run the fridge while driving, because
the fridge had to be level, and the road is not always level. Same
person told me it was against the law in Oregon to have an LP valve open
while the vehicle was moving.

I'm getting awfully tired of having RV dealers try to blow smoke up my
whatever they're trying to blow smoke up.

Problem is that this is the other local Norcold service center near me.
The Olinger Camping World place told me they couldn't fix the problem
because they didn't install the fridge. Now the other one gives me this
crap about running the fridge on the road. They also asked if a metal
panel had been removed from the upper part of the fridge compartment, or
if a fan had been removed, and told me that one reason the fridge didn't
work was that it was too hot in the compartment due to improper air flow.
Come to think of it, they did say that the 120v heating unit showed
sighn of being very hot. Maybe that's the problem-not enough windings on
the heater, so it's drawing too much current. They are calling Norcold
for more clues, I guess. Norcold installation manual doesn't call out a
maximum amount of space between back of the unit and the wall for
operation, only a spacing for best operation. Camping World Wilsonville
service folk said, "if the chimney is hot, and the fridge is not cooling,
it's the cooling unit. Now all they have to do is figure out why.
S'pose they're trying to get out of a warranty repair?????

Next time they call with a "progress report" I think I'll ask them to
stick a big fan in there, and blow air up to the upper vent, and see if
it works.

Rant over.............for now.
