I've been dreading dropping my tanks for months and months. The plan was to drop the tanks, replace all the fuel lines, add a second (not intank) electric pump and scrap the tank selector similar to Ken Henderson's setup. Also replace the body pads and run another vent line. I have the coach all lifted and supported and modified my hydraulic lift table so it will fit under the coach and support the tank. Got some fuel line and hooked it to the output of the electric pump and pumped all the gas I could out to my pickup. Worked great and was soon sucking air.
All my needed tools are out and placed where I can minimize my trips out from the coach.
The PO told me he had had this done but I expected that while I'm sure he paid to have it done, if the other work on the coach was any indication, they just took his money and told him it was good. Regardless, today was the day. To my amazement, the lines that were protected from road mud and dirt looked new. The tanks apparently were dropped and the hoses all replaced with Napa 4219LC which is an Ethanol rated line made by Gates. I even pulled out the generator and checked that line and it is also the 4219. Happy happy happy!
As a bonus, when I pulled the ground wire off the aux tank, the wire came off in my hand, a crimp on connector apparently wasn't crimped which probably explains why the fuel gauge on the aux tank was flakey. BONUS!
Replacing body pads are next. Off to Tractor Supply to get some horse mat.
