We are leaving Saturday from LA to go to Sturgis SD. Out bound overnights in Provo and Casper. In the GMC, of course. Towing a trailer with 2 Harleys. Wave if you see us. (Actually only me. My wife flys out a few days later but does ride back in the coach.)

In years past we have done this trip, on the return we took a different route and stopped at Yellowstone. I recall a nice days drive from Sturgis, overnighting, up early and a short drive to the Yellowstone entrance, where there was a small town, parking on a side street and unloading motorcycles, riding for the better part of the day and then a relatively short (couple of hours or so) drive to Pocatello (then the next day to Las Vegas, then home).

But I can't remember the route. Staring at the map it looks like one would go Sturgis to Cody, then the next day to Yellowstone. But what I see on the map is not consistent with my recollection, and then I am not sure the best route to Pocatello from there. Does anyone have recent experience with that route they could share? Any motorhome unfriendly roads?

Thanks a bunch!

Neil
