So my coach has an antenna on the roof that is coming off. It has a crank handle on the inside of the coach and the antenna itself looks like a set of rabbit ears when it is cranked out. The cranking function only operates one side of the rabbit ears and I use a portable Sat dish when I camp and steal the box out of the house.

What would be a good way to patch up the hole after I remove it. Has 6 screw holes on the perimeter and probably a 1 1/2 hole in the center.

As a temp fix I am going to cover the holes with aluminum tape, kind of like think aluminum foil with a pretty good adhesive on the back. Boeing uses it and I think they call it Shim Tape.

When I took my TV antenna out several years ago it left a 2-3 inch hole and some screw holes in the roof. I cut a piece of aluminum roof flashing to fit over the holes by 3/4" all around. I riveted that in place with 6 or 8 rivets and then covered the joint with paintable roof caulk from the RV supply place. It was still in place and is now painted along with the rest of the coach. No one but the next owner and I will ever see it.

Put the sealant on the patch before it is attached and after it is fastened.

Sealant under the patch and unless you have sealed rivets, sealant on
the rivet heads, too. Then just paint the whole coach to cover it all up.

You can skip that last part...
