I am getting 455 TBI back together and am at the intake install stage, for which I'm seeing and reading many different opinions, all of whom seem adamant they are the only way.
First: Turkey pan substitutes: (like one by Modellos) Good idea or not worth it??? I am trashing my turkey pan.
Second: Edelbrock Intake install - Silicone type: J.Bounds says Permatex Ultra Grey. Others say "Right Stuff". AND ... do you let RTV set first before putting manifold on or not ??? (directions on the Ultra-Gray say not to)
Third: Does RTV just go around coolant ports or all ports? (F/R "china walls" a given)
Lastly: Does it matter which side of gasket is up? (This is a "Mr. Gasket")

Thanks,
Paul D.
