Has any of our netters had any experience with the
MASTECH MS6310 combustible gas detector sold thru
Amazon.com for $53.00 ?

The description as follows:

Features:

*One hand operation and manual regulate sensitivity to eliminate background gas level
*High sensitivity
*Visible and audible alarm at 10% ~ 40% LEL
*Resume calmness approx 7~10 minutes in pure air
*Power supply 6V( 4xAA 1.5V alkaline batteries). The packing doesn't include batteries due to can't ship an item include batteries

Gas Detected:
Natural Gas, Methane, Ethane, Propane, Butane, Acetone, Alcohol, Ammonia, Steam, Carbon Monoxide (not to quantify), Gasoline, Jet Fuel, Hydrogen Sulfide, Smoke, Industrial Solvents, Lacquer Thinner, Naphtha

Specifications:
*Sensitivity: 50 ppm methane
*Sensor: Solid State
*Alarm: 10% ~ 40% for Methane
*Warm-up Approx.: 2minute
*Response Time: <2 seconds (10%~40% LEL)
*Battery life: Approx.9 hours continuous use typical
*Operating Temperature: 0 ~50 degreeC
*Operating Humidity: 10 -90% RH (non-condensing)
*Dimensions: 172x70x46 mm

Other detectors run about 3-4 times the cost of this unit
which are probably more of a commercial grade detector.

I just want to check the coach for any leaks and maybe use it around the
house for other leaks.

I guess it could be used to sniff out any a/c leaks if the system was charged
with a hydrocarbon based refrigerant.

Just looking for some possible feedback.
