Can you use the original steel wheel lugnuts on the Alcoa wheel?
I've seen pictures of the Alcoa nuts and they look similar.

Short answer, Yes. Added to answer. BUT. The OEM lug nuts will scar your pretty Alcoas. The Alcoa lug nuts have a captive washer to assist with the clamping action. Alcoa lug nuts requires less torque to clamp the wheel to the hub than the OEM Lug Nut. 140 ftpounds vs 240 ftpounds.
I'm not a scientist, but I did stay in a GMC Motorhome.

No - Alcoa lug nuts have an attached washer, the OEM lug nuts do not. One is for use on aluminum, the OEM is for steel. For something so critical I would use the specified lug nut.
