One of the first things I did to my GMC was replace all the windows with
Motorhome Enhancements' (Dotson & Buchanan) new ones. Shortly thereafter
Jim Bounds put new seals in the cockpit windows. Those steps have saved me
from having to learn anything about repairing the old ones over the past 15
years.

Now, John Beaver is calling for help with the decrepit windows on his '76
Eleganza. Is there a good reference we can review before calling Jim
Bounds?

TIA,

Ken H.

There is a writeup on Jim Bounds' site about how to do it and he can supply all of the rubbers and other materials. I did it and wrote what I could at http://minniebiz.com/gmcmotorhome/2013/08/20/rebuildingrefurbishing-the-original-windows/ They came out really nice and we are very happy with them.

Thanks, Armand.

John bought all the seals from JimB last year, and received printed
instructions -- which mice really appreciated for nesting materials!

I've downloaded your, and Jim's, instructions for John. Together they'll
probably be sufficient.

Thanks,

Ken H.
