I need a brake drum for my 1977 Kingsley 26 - cracked one in attempting to remove for
bearing job and brake inspection. Will use softer hammer from now on. Let me know if you
have one or know anyone that has one.

Have you seen this?

Also there are many disc brake conversions out there. If so inclined, you might look at those options, and spend the money used for replacing drums to up grade to discs. Not saying you should do it, just saying look at options.

You need to back off the brakes in order to properly remove the drum. Once you back them off it should just fall off once the bearing nut and retainer are removed.

I was offered one from another member when I was looking, didn't crack mine, had a sticky wheel cylinder that wore a groove in the drum.

Thanks - I'm still looking for that drum. In the meantime, I'm getting a new set of tires and trying any source for that drum at a reasonable price. Go the "applied" way if nothing else.
