I know there is probably a $100 tool designed specifically for the task.... But I already have a pickle fork.
What if anything would be detrimental about using it to separate everything.
Not worried about the dust covers as I can get replacements.
Got my new Rotors and seals from AppliedGMC today, thanks again Jim K.

If you have two BFH s you can separate any Morris taper joint by pinching the joint with one BFH on the opposite side of the hole you are striking and not disturb the seal at all. I would be leery of striking the end of the joint with the nut as shown if the instructions Gene linked as it is really easy to ruin the castellated nut or bung up the threads.
