For all you HF fans, ditch the wimpy 12vdc compressor you have in your coach now and buy a 120vac unit to run off of a cheap inverter. You get way more cfms, way faster air up of your bags and you can also air up your tires if you wish. I much prefer a quality 120vac compressor from a known good brand, but if you really want the HF cheapy, here is the link:

http://www.harborfreight.com/4-gal-2-HP-125-PSI-Twin-Tank-Air-Compressor-60567.html?ccdenc=eyJjb2RlIjoiMzc2NzAwNjAiLCJza3UiOiI2MDU2NyIsImlzIjoiMTA5Ljk 5IiwicHJvZHVjdF9p%0D%0AZCI6IjkyMjEifQ%3D%3D%0D%0A&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=2414b&utm_source=1021&cid=mEmail_s1021_c2414b

Throw away everything except the compressor and the pressure regulator. Put in a 12vdc relay controlled by whatever you are now using to control your 12vdc compressor and wire the 120vac from your cheap 100+ watt inverter to power the compressor through the relay. The only difference you will notice is that your coach will go to set ride height much faster, and, if you want to plumb in an aux air outlet you can also inflate tires, tubes, boats, whatever. Those 12vdc compressors were the only game in town in the 70s, but cheap inverters and cheap 120vac compressors have changed the game for the better now.

Least you be concerned about the load on your coach batteries, calculate the time your inverter driven 120vac compressor actually runs, multiply that times the amp draw while that compressor is running and compare that to the amp hour draw while your inefficient 12vdc compressor is running. Don't send me flame mails about how fast your super duper 12vdc compressor pumps up your coach until you do the math using the CFM from your super duper 12vac unit and the CFM from this cheap 120vac unit even factoring in the inefficiency of the cheap inverter you plan to use. If you want to improve the efficiency, buy a quality 120vac compressor and a quality inverter. Then it will be no contest.

My 2 Obama dollars (used to be cents) anyway.......

Interesting....

But It seems to me you'd need 2000 watt inverter. 12 amps at 120 volts is 1400 watts

If I'm plugged in I won't use my batteries at all
AND I'll have a 2000 watt inverter for other uses too ...
