We were camping over memorial day weekend at a music festival we go to each year. I noticed my Tvs were unable to pull in any channels, and last year we were able to get 3 or 4. This place is in the sticks, but I wondered what had changed. I finally got a minute to look at it yesterday, and climbed up top and removed the connector from the head. There should be 12 vdc to power the winegard, and I was only getting 3-8 volts as the connector was corroded. I replaced the inline adapter at the bottom of the antenna, cleaned the connections, and went from 2 channels at to 17. So if you have a powered unit, it might be worth cleaning it up. I've never received more than 8-10 channels at my house.

I also lubed the pivot point. Makes it much easier adjust now. I did a quick google and found this write that covers both points: http://blog.rv.net/2008/06/tech-tune-up-your-tv-antenna/
