The inside of the fitting on the transmission cooler broke away leaving nothing for the flair to seal against. I tried putting in a brass pipe to reverse flair fitting but never could get that to seal either so I bypassed the alum radiator trans cooler and installed a fan assisted unit with a built in thermostat. I also used the puzzle type anti-fatigue floor mat material to make air dams to direct the grill air to the radiator and to this external cooler (mounted where the passenger battery normally sits). Works like a charm.

You won't be the first to block the cooler in an aluminum radiator. Jim K has a very nice cooler that can be used. He sent me mine and we bypassed the
aluminum one for the one he sent. 9,000 miles and never any overheating problem.
I am sorry about the problems. I have been reading along as you post. These things can be fixed.

I just bought this nice and shine cooler so everything would be nice and neat I dont want a aux cooler I just threw the old one away
