Just wondering about trans oil It seems Olga has dextron 2 witch was the standart at the time Depending on how much is left does it blend with dextron vi

What do you guys do with transoil?

It looks like Dexron 4 is supposed to be backwards compatable with previous Dexron fluids.

We are till running with pre 2006 dexron so it is interesting to know that we can use dex 4. I put used oil on wooden trailer decks for preservative.

Someplace on the forum I found where someone said Manny uses Coastal brand in the normal trans and synthetic in the switch pitch. I understand you can use synthetic in the normal trans. Don't know about compatibility.

Coastal is common here, don't know about your area of the world

Manny used Mobil One synthetic on my switch pitch. It is not recommended to mix Mobil One with Dexron VI (6), which is synthetic. My research indicated Dexron VI is compatible with Dexron II, however Dexron II is not synthetic.
