Figured I would welcome myself to the forum since I am already trying to buy parts in the parts section.

3 weeks ago I purchased a 1977 Eleganza II, TZE167V100673. Bought it from the owner of the company I work for. Had been sitting for about 12 years and still had the Florida plates on it. We needed the additional space that the MH was taking up so we could store some 29 foot boat molds from a model we just discontinued.

I am currently in the process of going through the brakes, and repacking the wheel bearings.

Also, how does a person go about uploading photos?

You can't "upload" photos directly to this site but rather you link them from a photo host site. I'd recommend setting up an account (it's free) at GMC Motorhome Photos [ http://www.gmcmhphotos.com/ ].

Oh,.....and welcome Very Happy

That question comes up over and over. It would be nice if the procedure could be preserved as a sticky on the forum.

Create an account on the photo site here and upload your photos to an existing category, or create a personal album and upload them to your album:

http://www.gmcmhphotos.com/photos/

The register link is at the top right.

Then, if you want photos to appear in your forum posts, follow Kerry Pinkertons's process in this thread:

http://gmc.mybirdfeeder.net/GMCforum/index.php?t=msg&goto=188181&rid=2865#msg_num_4

Be sure to paste the URL twice, once as a bare URL (so the email subscribers can click on it) and once inside the IMG tags (so the forum users can see them in your forum post). The gateway between the forum server and the email listserver will remove the IMG referenced URL, so that's why you should post both ways. If you don't post the URL without IMG tags, email list subscribers won't be able to find it, and if you don't post the URL inside the IMG tags, the image won't appear in the forum.

Starting to remember the photo hosting thing, I used to post on a few forums way back in the day.

Currently uploading the photos I have to photobucket.

Will upload to the GMC Photo site as well.

Thanks for the info, gonna update my Signature now.

By "grill" I am assuming you are referring to the griddle on the counter?

One of the laminators needed a place to stay for a few months and he was living in it..... and then he got deported.

All of his stuff went into the dumpster before I drove it home.

Has a few leaks that I have been able to identify the source, we are having some nice weather and ham hoping to get to reseal sometime this week.

Not to bad for the purchase price of $500.

Not a misprint, $500.

All of the appliances work so far. Porcelain toilet needs a new Teflon seal and ball flusher thing. Holding tank has a crack in it right by the valve on the bottom. Fuel senders need to be repaired. I need to replace one set of brake pads, cylinder, and drum on one rear wheel. Definitely needs tires, did come with 3 new airbags and all of the manuals though. Cleaned up pretty nice on the inside, some of the headliner will need some work.

You need to leave off some formatting in order for it to work. Since both the jpg link and IMG bracketed jpg link were imbedded in the URL tags for each picture, only the images showed up in the forum and the links do not appear for email list subscribers.

Looks like the browser needs the html at the end.

Sorry, just realized you were probably referring to the front grille. The front grille has the original grille behind it. It looks like the vertical tubes are 3/4in square aluminum tubing that has been riveted on.

Yeah, I'm still glowing from my savvy negotiating skills...... we needed the room, the MH was green. I also promised I would take good care of it and get good use out of it. Helps too when you buy from someone who has more money than they know what to do with.

Can the mail list subscribers see the urls of the photos? The urls do not appear in the forum, only the pictures appear. If the mail list subscribers are seeing the urls, that's an even better way to imbed them, still double entry, but better display characteristics.
