Bob. An over tightened belt won't put any real noticeable extra load on the engine. The only issue in going to another coolant is what oil is in your compressor now. The issue there is if it's mineral, or synthetic based. Mineral was what was installed originally. When going to 134. Generally the system is flushed. Then synthetic based oil is installed. I don't believe you'll have any issues. But input from others will be a wise move. If your compressor is the problem. A dryer is a MUST. Not cooling is another issue. That many times is the Dryer that has a clogged filter inside.Bob Dunahugh CMCMI Member
