Rob,
When I met you briefly last year at Chuck Boyd's house, I mentioned that I had bought 2 of the low profile Dometic Penguin 13,500 BTU ACs including ceiling units right around $1000 for everything. I had done a global search on the web for the best price and found a RV place in Louisville, KY from which I ordered them. The units were trucked by freight, free of charge straight from the factory. It seems whenever Dometic wants to move units, it selects certain dealers and offers terrific deals for a short window in time. I need to find my receipts just to remember who I ordered them through.
I've been quite pleased with them, very quite from the outside but noisy on the inside when set on high. According to my digital thermometer near the ceiling it gets to about 105 degrees F inside around 3:00 PM on hot 90 degree days . One unit will pull it down to about 85 degrees in one hour, and in the low 70s in about 2 hours. I didn't buy the heat strips if they even offered them. The roof unit covers are still nice and shiny especially after today after I washed them along with the roof (I crawl around up there)
I heard the Brisk Air has about the same performance. OK, I'm through rambling.

Jerry,
That's a very good deal on the Penguin units as they are more expensive than the Brisk Air units. The reason I chose the Brisk Air
units was that the specs showed they drew less amps than the Penguins.
