You might want to rethink the cover. Unless you are going to park your coach with the back end pointing north all the time, the spare can get a lot of sun.
We have one like this: http://owensclassicinternational.com/owens-classic.html It was installed by the PO. I guess someone with a little bit of time and determination could get it off easily enough, but it keeps the semi honest people honest.
There is also this type: http://www.amazon.com/Master-Lock-262DAT-Chrome-Style/dp/B0000AXPDU/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1400623389&sr=8-1&keywords=Spare+Tire+Lock
...and lots of other types listed on Amazon.

Carl,
I ran into a problem regarding the enclosed spare covers on Double Trouble which you can partially see in the photo below:
http://www.gmcmhphotos.com/photos/folding-bike/p47953-bike-2.html
At the bottom it has a latch that compresses the OD slightly which clamps it on to the spare. When I replaced the steel wheel and
16.5 inch tire with an Alcoa wheel and brand new Kumho 225 x 16 inch tire it was very loose with the latch compressed. New 16.5 inch
tire and evidently a new 16 tire is smaller. I cut some 1 inch wide strips of plastic foam and glued them at 12, 2, 4, 6, 8 & 10
o'clock on the inside of cover. That made it a nice snug fit. Last year when I installed the new spare and put a used tire on the
spare the cover fit loosely again. I didn't have time to mess with it so I now don't have a cover.
Those spare locks are a good deal, however, I note; "Locks over wheel studs up to 0.56 inches in diameter." The studs on a GMC are
9/16" which is 0.5625 so I wonder if they would fit?

We carry the chrome locks.
Go to our web site under wheels.
We have seen several customers that lost their Aluminum wheels.
People sell them to recycling as it is 99% all aluminum.
Also Alcoa wheels are no longer manufactured.

Go to TSC and get about 3 or 4 feet of 3/16" or 1/4" chain ($1.39 per foot), a thin 2 foot piece of vinyl tube to cover part of the chain and a padlock. Cover the chain where it will touch the wheel. Run the chain through the holes in the wheel and through the wheel carrier. Install the pad lock. Trim off excess chain if desired.

As far as I know, our favorite 160231 is still manufactured and available
