Brake peddle won't return [message #247865]

After almost 2yrs I have finally got the motor back together. Runs great , but the brake peddle won't come back up after I push it down brakes stay on 'if I don't lift it up ????

The pedal assembly should move freely without binding and it would have a spring in it to move it away from the floor to its at rest position. is it posible the pedal assembly is coroded internaly preventing it from returning? If so it will need to be cleaned up or posibly well lubricated with a penatrating oil.
