Howdy!

Has anyone on the list had any experience with the company that prices paint
and bodywork for the GMC's? Any idea of rough price ranges?

Thanks!

I had a guy give me a rough guess of $2500 for one color site unseen when I described the size of my 23'. I think once he saw it he would revise it upward to $4k or so.

Expect $6,000 or more for a good professional job. More for any complications like multiple colors and schemes.

from someone that recently trusted someone and is in process of getting burnt on a too good to be true deal...(my wagoneer, not my gmc). take the time to check references and talk to others who have had completed paint jobs done.

Hey Jon sorry to hear your getting burnt, what is the guy doing or
not doing ?, maybe you need to send the boy's out ,or better yet get your
wife on it , sounds like you found all the exterior parts that you were
looking for. it's probably hard to find references on a deal like that.
don't beat yourself up over it, beat him up (just kidding) good luck Dan,
how are them white chocolate mochas treating you every morning at caribou
coffee

Dan,

Caribou is a treat for weekends. Weekdays I am trying to save $1 and I drink McCafe' mochas.. but yes, every morning unless I am out in the sticks where they have none. I could probably pay someone else to work on my GMC if I could kick this fancy coffee habit.

Boys and I went out last weekend to give the guy a visit. I sent you an email. Sad deal, because I thought I found a budget guy to paint the gmc. but at the speed he works, that could take 2 or 3 years for that job.

And howdy to you Brian
I may have a possible shop in SE Dallas for you, passed it on the way to Montgomery. I haven't talked to the GMC owners yet and have no idea of costs. As A and Jim B have said, I'm sure you are looking at more than 5k.

But take a look at this unique one

after I talk to owners I will post more

and btw why not edit your forum info with your email (it's secure there) and/or maybe turn on private messages.

Don,

I noticed that the picture you are trying to display in your sig does not show up. In the sig section, the HTML formatting is the same as a regular web page, not as in the forum. So the "img" tag doesn't work.

You need to get rid of the "img" tags and enclose the picture URL like in a web page

<img src="http://www.gmcmhphotos.com/photos/data/6109/G2.jpg">

Thanks A
When the img tags didn't work I decided to just leave it for any one to cut and paste if they want to see it.
