At 5 AM Dixie Dog (Finn) woke me up. That was a little early for him. Then I discovered why. He was looking out our back glass door. It snowed over night and we have 4" of new snow on the ground. Finn just wanted to go out and play in the snow one more time before the season is over.

It was in the 70's on Sunday and all traces of winter were gone. I haven't looked at the National Weather Guessing Service forecast, but I'm sure this will melt off in a day or two. It is 29 degrees here right now.

Gotta love living in the Midwest. Only got 1 1/2" here in Chicagoland, but this certainly is a winter that doesn't want to quit.

Either way, it's almost GMC season around here!

Here we had close to 70F yesterday. By this morning all evidence of snow was gone in my yard. Tonight they are forecasting 1-2" of white stuff, beginning with rain and 45-50f, dropping to around 25f overnight.
Will it ever end?

I have never tracked Montreal weather but Toronto usually gets our weather a day after us. We got some extra snow here because of the lake effect. Most of it melted off by evening but there was still some left.

A window blew out of our building in the wind, closed Marietta Street (major downtown street) till they could get the last piece of it loose. I saw a genuine snowflake in the early afternoon.

The Great News up here is that Detroit's official snow year ends June 1st. That means that the last dump put us over the 1881 record of 93.6 by 1.2".

Why does the 94.8" matter?
Because if it is going to be this miserable, it should be Record Miserable.

Matt - I can finally heat my barn shop to be warm enough to work.
