I have finished and shipped the last steering wheel because I am out of parts. Those that I used were left over from before air bags became mandatory. I am going to ask Billy Massey (bdub) to take down the Concept Steering Wheels web site.
Thanks to everyone for your kind words and compliments concerning my steering wheels. I have truly enjoyed meeting each and every GMC customer. It was a pleasure dealing with each of you.
It all started when a friend of mine gave me a weathered steering wheel that I restored. I liked the way it turned out and sent a picture to Emery Stora who put it on a GMC web site. Incredibly, I started to get inquiries for steering wheels each of which I answered by explaining that I wasn't in the steering wheel business but just restored the wheel for my own GMC. After several months, I decided to try customizing a few wheels as a hobby business. Fortunately, there was a need and my little home-based operation was born. It didn't get huge but was steady for over 10-years. GMC owners from the USA, Canada and Europe are piloting their coaches with Concept Steering Wheels.
